The Art Hub Kula is created with the need to materialize the spirit of the time in which we live, its contextualization and the desire to create a new reality. The Art Hub Kula is not seen as an alternative to institutions, nor as an alternative to alternatives, but as a new model of existence and functioning in the cultural field.
Special emphasis in the design and implementation of the program is placed on the experimental approach, involvement of the local community and nurturing the transgenerational audience.
Kula program will be implemented in several units: debate program, gallery program, music program, workshops, author’s multimedia events, radio and podcast program, art residencies.
Kula Gallery is a place for developing art projects in the field of visual culture. The goal of the Gallery is to create, recognize and nurture new phenomena on the art scene. In addition to providing visibility and support to new actors in the field of art, Kula Gallery wants to create an informal circle formed through the cooperation of artists from different fields to create new interdisciplinary fields for artistic practices.
The team that gathered around the development of the Kula Cultural Center is made up of professionals active on the cultural and artistic scene for more than ten years.
Their involvement in the scene and direct impact on the development of the scene itself results in the connection of the members of the Kula with many institutions, independent initiatives and individual authors, producers and media. This team consists of Ivan Ojkić, Bojana Ljubišić, Marko Radojković, Nemanja Rašović and Dušan Savić. In the first months of Kula’s work, the team was joined by 10 volunteers who recognized the opportunity for professional development and networking.
KULA CULTURAL CENTER IS TRYING TO PROVIDE A NEW MODEL OF EXISTENCE AND ACTION IN THE CULTURAL FIELD.
